Summary: This article focuses on reading trajectories, especially for children with reading challenges. We address: learning trajectories, fade-out effects, and 'summer slide', a research-practice partnership, and we advocate for the value of using broader contexts of time, or 'temporal contexts', for interpreting performance and progress.
